What is PAAT?
Protection and Advocacy for Assistive Technology (PAAT) is a federally funded program operated by MO P&A.
The primary focus of the program is to provide individual representation to people who have been denied funding for assistive technology and to increase the availability of funding through systems change.
An "Assistive Technology" device is any item that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.

Is there a charge for PAAT program services?
PAAT non-legal advocacy services are free. However, there is a sliding scale fee based on annual gross income for legal representation and litigation expenses.
The PAAT program is 100% federally funded by the U.S Department of Education, National Institute on Disability & Rehabilitation Research.
