Missouri Protection and Advocacy Services (Mo P&A) is designated by the Governor as the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) System for Missouri. P&A Systems are federally mandated. These systems protect the rights of people with disabilities through legal-based advocacy.

We also collaborate on projects with our network partners in Missouri. Our partners include the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC) and the University of Missouri Kansas City Institute for Human Development (UMKC IHD).

These projects foster self-advocacy to help people with disabilities make choices about their lives. This includes choices about their education, employment, independence, and more. Projects may also advocate for statewide changes to policies and practices that impact people with disabilities.
